It\u2019s the first story on the show, so just play from the beginning and  you\u2019ll soon hear Ion Newcombe introducing me \u2013 it\u2019s a pretty awesome  introduction too, thanks Ion!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I first wrote &#8220;Shy&#8221; as a drabble (a 100-word story) inspired by this image: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"455\" src=\"http:\/\/zenashapter.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/lakedistrict.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13456\" srcset=\"http:\/\/zenashapter.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/lakedistrict.jpg 750w, http:\/\/zenashapter.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/lakedistrict-300x182.jpg 300w, http:\/\/zenashapter.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/lakedistrict-150x91.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">100 words wasn&#8217;t quite enough to do the story justice, so I expanded it into a piece of flash fiction, 564 words long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I love writing stories from images! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In fact, I&#8217;m teaching a workshop on doing just that next month during the Manly Art Festival.
