Kirsten Tranter is the author of the internationally acclaimed novel The Legacy<\/em> (shortlisted for the ABIA Literary Fiction award, the ALS Gold Medal, the Indie Debut Fiction award, and longlisted for the Miles Franklin award). Her second novel, A Common Loss<\/em>, was released in 2012.<\/p>\n

I don’t really have a writing space at home that I use \u2013 I usually write at the library. In Sydney, I like the Mitchell and Fisher. We’ve just got back from New York where I wrote mostly at the Avery Library of Art and Architecture. I didn’t take any pictures of it unfortunately but there’s one here (above). It is pretty special. I miss it!<\/p>\n
