My medieval crime series, <em>The Janna Mysteries<\/em> has been rewritten and repackaged for an adult fiction market, and the first book in <em>The Janna Chronicles<\/em>, now titled <em>Blood Oath,<\/em> will be published mid-January by Momentum (Pan Macmillan, Australia) with the next five books published consecutively every month. In addition Momentum published my first novel for adults in 2014. Titled <em>I, Morgana<\/em>, this is a re-telling of one of the most reviled and enigmatic characters in Arthurian legend \u2013 and one of the most fascinating! To my great delight, I was recently awarded the inaugural Di Yerbury writer\u2019s residence in the UK, and will spend three months in Devon in 2015 researching and writing the sequel to <em>I, Morgana<\/em> with the working title <em>Return to Camelot<\/em>. I also enjoy talking about researching and writing my novels and conducting writing workshops in various genres for both children and adults.<\/p>\n<h3>Where can I read more about this fabulous author?<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.felicitypulman.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.felicitypulman.com.au\/<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>What music do they like?<\/h3>\n<p>I\u2019m fascinated by the music of Lisa Gerrard from Dead Can Dance; she writes and records her own songs as well as writing scores for movies including <em>Gladiator<\/em> and <em>Whale Rider<\/em>. My current favourite is the haunting (and terrifying) clip from <em>Black Hawk Down<\/em>, titled <em>Gortoz A Ran \u2013 J\u2019attends<\/em>, recorded with Denez Prigent.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"900\" height=\"507\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/b7HKktNbUCQ?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-AU&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>There are several different versions of this around. I should say that I cannot write and listen to music at the same time, but music has inspired many of my novels \u2013 eg the recorded version of <em>The Lady of Shalott<\/em> by Loreena McKennit plus an eclectic selection including Allegri\u2019s <em>Miserere<\/em> to a revivalist hymn while I was writing the <em>Shalott<\/em> trilogy; and Maddie Prior\u2019s <em>King Arthur<\/em> while writing <em>I, Morgana<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who is Felicity Pulman?
