So far, it is estimated that 12 million hectares of Australian land have been burned in this year’s ‘Black Summer’ bushfires, at least 32 lives have been lost, and over 2,700 homes. Entire communities have been devastated and it will take time to recover: physically, mentally and financially. The WWF Australia has also called for immediate global support, declaring this “the most devastating bushfire season the country has ever seen”, with around 1.25 billion animals being killed across Australia, including thousands of koalas and other iconic species such as kangaroos, wallabies, kookaburras, cockatoos and honeyeaters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Australian Speculative Fiction community \u2013 myself included \u2013 therefore asked the question, \u2018What can we do to help?\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
