A Very Interesting Spotlight… On Me!

This week I’m over on Need Help Write Now being interviewed by the very lovely and influential Eda Utku about my favourite books, geography, themes I explore in my writing, inspiration and my next writing project…

ZenaShapterChairSpotlight on Zena Shapter

Zena Shapter is a British-English fiction writer, published author and social media consultant whose life is filled with stories stemming from a very interesting upbringing.

Zena grew up in Bournemouth in England’s South Coast in a hotel owned by her parents. Her father was the chairman of Bournemouth’s Carnival Committee. Growing up, Zena had access to an ever changing array of colourful people.

Then at uni she majored in virtually any and every principle under the sun to possibly get a wider understanding of the world around us.

I have a sense that Zena, like every good writer, is a very curious person who longs for knowledge and has a passion for her readers to catch a glimpse of her observations…

Out of all the places you’ve lived, Zena, which geographical location do you find yourself writing about the most?

Good question! Where do you think I write about most?

Find out by reading the rest of that guest post over here.

Zena Shapter

Zena Shapter writes from a castle in a flying city hidden by a thundercloud, reaching across age and genre into the heart of storytelling. A multi-award-winning author of speculative and contemporary fiction, she teaches writing at festivals, libraries and schools, judges various literary awards, mentors and edits other writers, and encourages everyone to value the importance of creativity. She loves movies, frogs, chocolate, and potatoes, though not at the same time!
