The 2012 Aussie Speculative Fiction Snapshot
Wow – how chuffed am I? I’ve just been included in the 2012 Australian speculative fiction snapshot, a series of interviews designed to celebrate the breadth and depth of Australia’s speculative fiction scene.
These last few months, bloggers Alisa Krasnostein, Kathryn Linge, David McDonald, Helen Merrick, Ian Mond, Jason Nahrung, Alex Pierce, Tansy Rayner Roberts, Tehani Wessely and Sean Wright have been working like madmen organising all the interviews – you should see who else has been interviewed as this dedicated team of bloggers attempt to show the world exactly what speculative fiction means to Australia!
And I’m honoured to be included in their vision.
To read my interview, conducted by the tenacious David McDonald, just click here. This isn’t the first time I’ve featured on David’s blog as, last month, I was on Ebon Shores’ Wednesday Writers talking about the importance of enjoying your writing journey, as you travel it. If you have trouble celebrating your writing achievements as you achieve them, then read that post here! Me? I’m going to try celebrating my inclusion in the 2012 Aussie snapshot right now:
squeee!!
As part of the Aussie snapshot, you can also read two wonderful memorial snapshots of Paul Haines and Sara Douglass, written in celebration of their contribution to the Australian speculative fiction community. And to find out who else is who in Australia in 2012 – simply follow the links at the end of my interview! Started by Ben Peek in 2005 (thanks Ben!), the Aussie snapshot has only taken place three times over the past eight years. So your chance to read all about speculative fiction in Australia… is now!
Congratulations, Zena. That is so flippin’ awesome sauce.
I know!!
*happy dance*

Congratulations, Zena!
Thank you, Jeff! I’m truly honoured! 🙂
