What are your plans for 2015? Are they similar to these writers?

Now that the new year is shaping up, it’s time to set some goals for the year…

What do you want to achieve before 2016?

What are your priorities?

For me, I’ve been planning a new novel – a fantasy this time – which I’d love to finish before 2016. Other than that, I’d like to keep up my publication momentum, while also growing my young family with plenty of love and fun.

Does that sound like a typical writer?

Well, to find out I asked around… Do other writers have similar goals in mind for 2016. What are their priorities?

I asked: Alan Baxter, Aleesah Darlison, Bruce Lyman, Cat Sparks, Charlotte Wood, David Henley, Deb Kalin, Dionne Lister, Duncan Lay, Felicity Pulman, Graham Storrs, Greg Barron, Ian Irvine, Jason Nahrung, Jenn J McLeod, Joanne Anderton, Karen Miller, Kate Forsyth, Keith Stevenson, Kirsten Krauth, Lee Battersby, Margo Lanagan, Marianne de Pierres, Martin Livings, Michael Pryor, Nicole R Murphy, Nina D’Aleo, Richard Harland, Sean Williams, Susanne Gervay & Trent Jamieson.

Here’s what they said:

Wow – that’s a lot of novel writing! I hope this means we’ll all be reading a lot of new and exciting work in 2016/7!

What about you: whether you’re a writer, reader or both, what are your plans for 2015? Do you want to perfect your work/life balance like these authors, or do you have some other goal to achieve before this time next year?

In short – I plan to release two more novels, and write two more novels.
