Who is Kimberley Gaal?
I am a speculative fiction author living in Canberra. After completing a Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing in Melbourne I sold my soul to work in the corporate sector, but ransomed it back by moving to the not-for-profit sector – a happy medium between soullessness and poverty. I won a place in the Australia Council for the Arts’ JUMP National Mentoring Program for Young and Emerging Artists in 2012, and spent a year working with award-winning horror and speculative fiction writer Kaaron Warren on craft and professional development. I am the current Vice President of the Canberra Speculative Fiction Guild and have participated in panels at speculative fiction conferences such as Conflux and Natcon. My first two speculative fiction short story publications will be out later this year, and I’m currently working on an urban fantasy series.
Where can I read more about this fabulous author?
What music do they like?
Demons by Imagine Dragons. It absolutely captures the themes of my Dark Souls series, of wanting to care for people but being scared that the darkness inside you will only hurt them.
