What Music Inspires @CatSparx #InspirationalMusic

Who is Cat Sparks?

Cat-portraitCat Sparks is fiction editor of Cosmos Magazine. She is halfway through a PhD in young adult climate change fiction. Sixty-five of her short stories have been published since 2000. She is currently in a panicked flap making a bunch of agent-directed changes to her novel, Lotus Blue.

Where can I read more about this fabulous author?

What music do they like?

‘Making Patterns Rhyme: A Tribute to Duran Duran’ is my album of the moment. Twenty-two contemporary covers with all proceeds from the album’s sale going to Amnesty International. Top track is probably Do You Believe in Shame by Halo Circus featuring Allison Iraheta but there are several favourites I could list: Friends of Mine by The Holiday Crowd, Lonely in Your Nightmare by Mercies. However, neither of the latter two have clips available so I’m going with the first one.

Zena Shapter

Zena Shapter writes from a castle in a flying city hidden by a thundercloud, reaching across age and genre into the heart of storytelling. A multi-award-winning author of speculative and contemporary fiction, she teaches writing at festivals, libraries and schools, judges various literary awards, mentors and edits other writers, and encourages everyone to value the importance of creativity. She loves movies, frogs, chocolate, and potatoes, though not at the same time!
