This week I’m getting to imagine what it must be like to be author-royalty…
NSW Writers’ Centre – Guest Speaker
Shortly after having my article on the Evolution of Communication published in the special ‘literary festival’ edition of the Society of Women Writer’s magazine Women’s Ink last month, I was invited by the NSW Writers’ Centre to be a Guest Speaker at their First Friday Club. Wow – how cool is my author-life sometimes??!! Of course I said yes, so this Friday I will be in conversation with Stella Sgambellone between 10am and 11.30am. Come and join us! It’s the last First Friday Club session of the year and will be followed by a delicious morning tea. Yum!
Ettalong Writers – Grant-Funded Guest Speaker
A few months back, I was also contacted by the lovely Ettalong Writers, who meet up monthly at Woy Woy Community Centre (if you’re a writer on the NSW Central Coast, why not join them sometime??). They wanted me to travel up the NSW coast to teach them my Vividness & Voice workshop, as well as my Social Media for Writers workshop, and they applied for a grant from the Romance Writers of Australia to fund it. What a great idea! If you’d like me to travel to your writers’ group to teach any of my workshops, why not apply for a grant too? The Ettalong Writers also invited the Hunter Writers along, so we’re going to be very busy this Saturday having lots of writing fun! Mega thanks to the Romance Writers of Australia for making that possible.
I love getting out of my writing cave to meet fans, readers and writers. So I can’t wait for this week to get started! Bring it!
