Who is M J Hearle?

M.J.Hearle-author-picClaudette-in-the-shadowsAddicted to stories from a young age, it was somewhat inevitable that M.J. Hearle turned to dealing them himself. He is the author of both Winter’s Shadow and its sequel Winter’s Light which were published by Pan Macmillan in 2011 and 2012 respectively. These novels revolve around the character of Winter Adams and her relationship with Blake Duchamp, a young man with a mysterious past. Through these novels readers were introduced to the mythology of the Dead Lands and the strange and mysterious creatures that dwell therein. In 2013 Momentum published M.J. Hearle’s prequel to the Winter novels, Claudette in the Shadows, which expanded upon the Dead Lands mythology while bringing a fresh (if slightly twisted) perspective to the paranormal genre. He is currently working on two new novels – an untitled fantasy epic, and the third and final Winter novel.

What music do they like?

My favourite song of the moment is:

It’s such a strange melody – catchy yet jarring and occasionally atonal. I love it for its complexity.
